One week of work at my new job is in the books! I

One week of work at my new job is in the books! I haven’t worked a full-time job in 6 years and it’s definitely different than how we’ve been living. Currently it mostly feels like a vacation from my real life, minus the mornings while we all get ready, which kind of feel like hell on earth. On the one hand, I really love the job so far. On the other, when do I watch TV now? 🤣 Only kind of kidding. I’m working on getting used to a new normal of doing the bulk of my housework/personal to do lists in the evenings and on the weekends. So now I need to go do yard work and clean the fish tank and finally file my taxes before this weekend ends!

My queens gallery wall is taking shape thanks to these framed prints from @fineartamerica! #ad Featuring Mary Queen of Scots and Queen Elizabeth I. (I’m definitely team Mary 😆) I’m excited to keep expanding my collection and filling this space with other leading women throughout history! @fineartamerica has an extensive collection of all styles of art, but I really loved the portraits of historical figures the most. They came framed and ready to hang, so other than the 3 wrongly placed holes I nailed in (user error), getting them on the wall was seamless. I’m really loving experimenting with decorating with things I’m passionate about, rather than what’s trendy. A queens wall might not be for everyone, but it’s perfect for me. I definitely encourage you to find ways to incorporate the things you love into your home!

Today I’m sharing some houseplant care tips about one of my fave plants, the pothos, over with Heather at @lifegardenstyle. This plant is the perfect beginner plant but tends to be even an experienced plant lady favorite because it’s fast growing, gets super lush and can hang out in the darker spaces of you home most other plants can’t tolerate. I can’t stop and won’t stop admiring this view. I even love how it looks from the couch 😂 And now I officially have like 3 million feature walls in my house and I do not care one bit. I’ve decided the rules are fake and I can make every single wall a feature wall if I want. Also, people keep sending me more fancy mirrors listings and it’s dangerous. I for real need to know how many is too many? Can I still claim to be a minimalist with 60 fancy mirrors and 50 houseplants in my home?

According to my last post, I started this project

According to my last post, I started this project 6 weeks ago and finally finished it up yesterday. I’m annoyed with myself for putting it off for so long because I’m IN LOVE with how it turned out. 😍 We took a break mid day yesterday to go pick up another fancy mirror for my bathroom and Graham skeptically said “Why do we have so many mirrors? You really like mirrors now?” 🤷‍♀️ I like what I like, kid.

Well there’s no turning back now...This wallpaper jumped off the wall like this space was just waiting to be revamped! I have a plan for this space and I’m so excited to bring it to life! How many accent walls is too many? Asking for a friend.
