So excited to be sharing this 2 day guest room makeover! I’m honestly so proud of myself for pulling this off - especially with the added drama of a leaking water heater that needed replaced in the middle of it all! (Thanks to my dad for handling that and my mom for helping with the kids in the middle of all the chaos so I could keep working on this room!) This room went from a dark storage room to a place I’d actually feel comfortable letting guests sleep in. Actually I kind of want to move down here!

The “bed-in-a-box” is an @emmasleep.us CliMax Hybird Mattress and was super convenient to have shipped right to my door! Setup was super simple and it feels amazing. It’s meant stay cool and be extra supportive to appeal to all types of sleepers - which is perfect for a guest room.

At one point I’d thought about Airbnb-ing this part of my house out, and with this makeover I’ve got a little glimpse of how it could all come together 🥰

Spent the past week slowly trying to bring my plan

Spent the past week slowly trying to bring my plant babies back to life after way too many moves the past few years and several months of neglect because ✨life✨. This snake plant (or what’s left of it) was one of my very first plants and it was not doing so swell, so I kept what could and we’re trying a little propagation to see if we can bring it back to life. Simplest step by step in my stories :) You can also water propagate snake plant leaves but it’s a slooowwwwwww process.

Anybody else super excited for spring and ready to bring all the things back to life now? Pretty sure I initiated like 17 life changes this week because it just feels like a good time to do it.

PS and now I’m tempted to order every queen portrait I can find and place them all over my house. I’m backkkkkkkk!!

Today I feel like making a sappy birthday post for myself. 🤗 I don’t love the idea of being 33, officially in my mid 30s, but I also feel like it’s going to be the best year. Not at all where I expected to be at this point in my life, but the cool thing about being in your 30s is that you finally have all the right people in all the right places. I have the best friends who tolerate me and sometimes even still like me even when I constantly talk about politics and Mary Queen of Scots. I’m surrounded by people who get me and know me and I don’t have to worry about if I talked too much after a night out or was annoying AF. (I did and I was FYI - every time 😅). Anyway I’m just thankful for all my people, the real life ones and the ones here who also know me and get me and chat with me about anything and everything! I still don’t know how to take a decent selfie, and you never know what you’re going to get when you click on my stories (Something too personal? Complaining about my kids? Politics? Home decor? History lesson? It’s all over the place…a bit like me, weird)…but thanks for sticking it out with me over the last couple rough years. I think we’re about to hit the sweet spot! 😘😘😘

Hey guys…trying to take more short clips of video so I can try making more reels. Enjoy this view of my backside because this is hard 😂 anyway - first world probs I know BUT I AM SO EXCITED to be a member of the king size bed club again, especially as a cosleeping-against-my-will mom. Last October we started out in a full size bed and one night both of my children fell out opposite sides of the bed in the same night 🤦🏻‍♀️ Then a friend let me borrow her queen size bed and it was a life changer, but I’ve been dreaming about getting back to that king size bed life ever since. Today is the day friends! 👑🛏 Newsworthy to the average person? Maybe not…but I’ve been working toward this for a year now so 🙌🙌🙌

Ok so this was from like 5 years ago, when Graham was 2 I think?!? And like 4 dwelling situations ago…🙈🤦🏻‍♀️ But Instagram is now going through my stories and putting reels together for me, so who I am to say no? 🥰🤷‍♀️🌱 And we all still agree that no pants are the best pants!
