Spent the past week slowly trying to bring my plan

Spent the past week slowly trying to bring my plant babies back to life after way too many moves the past few years and several months of neglect because ✨life✨. This snake plant (or what’s left of it) was one of my very first plants and it was not doing so swell, so I kept what could and we’re trying a little propagation to see if we can bring it back to life. Simplest step by step in my stories :) You can also water propagate snake plant leaves but it’s a slooowwwwwww process.

Anybody else super excited for spring and ready to bring all the things back to life now? Pretty sure I initiated like 17 life changes this week because it just feels like a good time to do it.

PS and now I’m tempted to order every queen portrait I can find and place them all over my house. I’m backkkkkkkk!!

Today I feel like making a sappy birthday post for myself. 🤗 I don’t love the idea of being 33, officially in my mid 30s, but I also feel like it’s going to be the best year. Not at all where I expected to be at this point in my life, but the cool thing about being in your 30s is that you finally have all the right people in all the right places. I have the best friends who tolerate me and sometimes even still like me even when I constantly talk about politics and Mary Queen of Scots. I’m surrounded by people who get me and know me and I don’t have to worry about if I talked too much after a night out or was annoying AF. (I did and I was FYI - every time 😅). Anyway I’m just thankful for all my people, the real life ones and the ones here who also know me and get me and chat with me about anything and everything! I still don’t know how to take a decent selfie, and you never know what you’re going to get when you click on my stories (Something too personal? Complaining about my kids? Politics? Home decor? History lesson? It’s all over the place…a bit like me, weird)…but thanks for sticking it out with me over the last couple rough years. I think we’re about to hit the sweet spot! 😘😘😘

Hey guys…trying to take more short clips of video so I can try making more reels. Enjoy this view of my backside because this is hard 😂 anyway - first world probs I know BUT I AM SO EXCITED to be a member of the king size bed club again, especially as a cosleeping-against-my-will mom. Last October we started out in a full size bed and one night both of my children fell out opposite sides of the bed in the same night 🤦🏻‍♀️ Then a friend let me borrow her queen size bed and it was a life changer, but I’ve been dreaming about getting back to that king size bed life ever since. Today is the day friends! 👑🛏 Newsworthy to the average person? Maybe not…but I’ve been working toward this for a year now so 🙌🙌🙌

Today I closed on my house, the one I picked off the side of the road 2 years ago and manifested into being my own. I refinanced in my name, so it’s all mine. I’ll be moving back in when the lease on the rental is up in October.

Today also looks a bit like a highlight reel - launching a new service for my business and closing on my house. But it’s actually been really really hard. Lots of late nights working every night, constant math of making the money work, and even now, my house payment on a house I already owned has increased enough to fully fund a Roth IRA over the next year. You do the math 🫠

But I’ve got tons of great people around me. Lending me furniture, letting me come to their houses when I need a sense of normalcy, cruising town with me while I process my emotions, listening to me complain constantly about how hard and unfair it is and still telling me that I’m doing a good job.

You know the joke that you always know someone’s getting divorced when they use their middle name and start posting motivational quotes? Haha I get it…you need some words to refer to to keep it all in perspective sometimes. I read a post in a FB group where a girl talked about starting her own business and how someone reminded her she has what it takes to swim. So that’s my new mantra. I have what it takes to swim… even when it’s hard and expensive and I’m sleep deprived and it sucks.

In less than 2 months I’m going to flood your feeds with fancy mirror pictures because I WILL BE BACK IN MY HOUSE!

Tonight I made probably the most impactful update

Tonight I made probably the most impactful update I’ve made to this room so far. I guess I am firmly in my 30s when I’m absolutely giddy about a new nightstand with a drawer 😍 Guys, for the last 6 months I’ve used a little side table that was more like a stool as a nightstand, with several charging cords just thrown on the floor beside it. This drawer for the cords and shelf for my books is a LUXURY. It’s not perfectly staged (or perfectly built for that matter 😬) but man it’s going to be so functional!
